URGENT: Surprise Party Imminent!!!

Zen snuck into the kitchen and tapped a busily-cooking Mino on the shoulder.

"Mino....L's birthday is on Saturday. We need to do something to celebrate it. Perhaps we could bake a very large cake?"

She wasn't the greatest of party planners, apparantly.

((Wow....-tilts head- And she captured Near's heart how? -is mildly dissatisfied with Ani's brain-))

Minoushje pointed to a closed sketchbook that was lying on the kitchen counter.
"I was having the same idea..." She said as she took a freshly baked batch of cookies from the oven. "All I have to do is figure out a nice present... and I really can't think of anything. Any ideas?"


((He can resist Ani's feminine charms?))

"I think something handmade would be more appropriate then something we buy.....I don't suppose you're a good artist, are you?"

((.....-makes memo to make Ani smarter-))

"She is....you know what would be fun? A masquerade party. We could create beautiful masks and such and decorate the garden...it'd be lovely."

((And Yagami could show up.....))

"That's an amazing idea!!" Minoushje said enthusiastically. "The weather channel said it would be lovely weather so we could go outside and such. I think L would love to be outside for a bit... he really is spending too much time inside the house."

Zen grinned, the excitement showing on her face.

"I'm going to head off to class- I'll tell Rayne about the party and then go get the supplies for the masks afterwards."

She glanced up at the ceiling, as if she could see the men upstairs. "Matt and Near might want to help..."

"Alright, I'll tell those two." Minoushje said with a smile. "Now let's just hope L won't figure anything out."

((Let's say Near hasn't left Matt's lair yet after telling him he should call Mello... just to make things easier >.>))

Zen nodded and grabbed a cookie.

"One for the road, eh? See you later!"

She grabbed the satchel she had set by the door and headed out.

It's Friday
(a bit early but I didn't feel like waiting till it's actually Friday)

After checking she had all the ingredients she needed Minoushje started working on the batter for the cake.
She had spend almost the entire afternoon baking cookies and cupcakes making sure L would have enough sugary stuff to last for a while. Now all she had to do was hope he didn't want something else and tried entering the kitchen.
She softly started singing a song:
