He was nervous.

Really nervous.

It was really weird as to how his body was acting; he was all pumped when he asked Fey to help him pick out the best outfit for an occasion like this, fearing that his taste of style would be a little too casual for a date. Then he'd asked Matt for advice considering how the red-haired male already had experience. Clad in a black dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and the first few buttons left open, he tapped his dress shoes upon the ground nervously as he waited by his bike for her. That excitement from earlier suddenly became into one of complete nervousness, since he was overlooking every possible situation that might happen tonight. He was just fearful of acting like a complete idiot and blowing the whole thing. All he wanted was for Sarah to enjoy his company.

Fey was currently in Sarah's room, using a soft brush to lightly dust neutral eye-shadow colors upon the tops of her lids, making sure that heir make-up only enhanced her natural beauty rather than made her appear as someone she was not. The girl smiled. "You look really beautiful, you know that?" Fey was glad Sarah had asked her for some help for tonight, fearing that the girl had been taken aback by her over friendly nature. "You have better fashion sense that I do, and all you had to do was feel how it was like to visualize it. The red really brings out the color of your hair~" Fey lightly dusted a shade of pink upon her cheeks before stepping back to show that she was done. Fey giggled. "Don't be scared if Mello doesn't talk much tonight; it'll only be because he'll be struck by your beauty~"

"A-are you sure?" Sarah asked hesitantly.
She had picked out one of the few dresses she owned. Well technically she only has two, one is black with small flowers but that's a traditional gypsy dress (all the way to the floor and long sleeves) so that wasn't really suitable to wear on a date and so number two was the only dress left. A simple red dress that ended just below her knee, which was long enough to make her feel comfortable (as far as that's possible in a dress).

It felt strange to be dressed so formal or to wear make-up... even if it was just a little bit.
She took a deep breath... the butterflies in her stomach were going insane. Carefully she touched the hairpin that she had placed just above her right ear to see if it was still on the right place. The red rose had exactly the same color as the dress and she was still grateful that Fey had helped her pick it out.

"I-I think I'm ready..." Sarah said as she grabbed the jacket she had chosen to wear while outside and folded it over her arm.
Carefully she walked down the stairs. It was a good thing she lives in this house for two years now. Even though most of the time there was always someone around who insisted on helping her she could find her way around quite easily... as long as they didn't move things around too much.

She walked outside knowing Mello would be there, waiting for her.

"I'm more than sure; I've know Mello for years now, and I can tell you with complete honesty, Sarah: he never puts this much effort into anything. Seriously." She smiled. "He's really fond of you; he just wants to keep you happy. He's a real teddy bear on the inside, and perhaps you'll be able to make it more evident." The girl winked and waved in a goodbye. "Have fun~"

Mello had noticed another presense by the door, head coolly turning towards the door--at the sight of a very beautiful Sarah, he'd completely lost his serious look and gone completely surprised, dropping the helmet of his bike to the ground as he cleared his throat and walked over to her, helping her down the stairs. "You're ready, it seems; we can get going now." Mello blushed and pressed his lips. "B-But, with you looking this great, it'll be hard for me to hold back beating everyone up when they look at you. ~~Can I just have you for myself~?~~" His eyes kept darting to her eyes, g razing all over the red dress she wore in complete adoration. He carefully helped her upon his motorcycle, choosing to keep her sitting in front for safety. He'd be able to steer easily either way.

"Sorry we have to take this, Sarah." He admitted. "Matt took the car out, and I'm not waiting for that damn jerk to keep us from spending more time. I'll make sure you're safe though, alright?" He put the helmet on her head. He took a small whiff of the perfume she wore, finding himself get hypnotized. He had to be careful this didn't happen when he was actually out on the road.

"It's okay. I don't mind." Sarah said as she leaned lightly against him, showing she completely trusts him.
She really didn't mind, she was just looking forward to spending some time alone with Mello again. Though honestly, if she had known in advance they were going with his bike... she would never have picked out a dress. Now, it was quite difficult ~~not to flash her underwear to the whole world~~ to keep her dress decent as the wind blew under it.
So when they had reached their destination and Mello helped her get off she was glad she made it without any embarrassing moments.

Mello smiled; he loved how she was considerate of any decision, choosing to remain happy in contrast to other annoying and picky girls who made dates seem like more of a forced event than one of free-will. Mello made sure to ride extra carefully tonight, in addition to lowering his usual speed dramatically, and he helped Sarah get off after parking in front of the Romanian restaurant. Mello took a hold of Sarah's hand and lightly tugged her along, knowing they were approaching closer when the music grew louder. Mello raised an eyebrow. "It sounds like the one back in the park."

When they entered, they were greeted by various aromas, all of which were unknown to Mello. The guy by the door must have realized that Sarah appeared Romanian and then assumed Mello was as well, since he started speaking these foreign words. Mello could only blink lean towards Sarah. "Um...what?"

"Aahh he is welcoming us in his restaurant... A-and he asks if we have a reservation." Sarah translated.
She actually had no idea if Mello had thought of making a reservation so she just looked at him questioningly.

((sorry, short posts... I'm at a friends place so I can only use my phone every once in awhile without looking/acting totally anti-social. ^.^"))

Mello nodded his head very slowly in understanding, smiling rather nervously at the way he grinned. He let out an aggravated sigh. "I friggin' forgot about the damn reservations..." He wasn't wary of the basics of a date; he felt like he'd messed up already. He looked at Mello apologetically. But then the male began blurting out some more things--still foreign to Mello's ears, but the tone sounded...cheerful?

"Vă mulţumesc foarte mult, care este foarte frumos din partea ta." Sarah answered smiling, next she turned to Mello. "He says that if we don't mind having a drink at the bar first there will be a table available for us soon."
The waiter at the restaurant looked at Sarah with an appreciating smile.
"Nici o problemă, nimic pentru o asemenea frumoase tineri romani lady."
There was no translation needed to understand the basic of his words. And the fact that Sarah turned bright red after hearing that compliment might help with that too.

Mello shrugged, not minding the idea as he took a hold of Sarah's hand (quite quickly as he glared at the male) and led her to the little bar. It was pretty busy, but the red walls and other furniture gave it a comforting, homey feel. Mello led both Sarah and himself to the bar where a widely-grinning bartender stood, wiping the inside of a glass with white cloth. Mello raised his eyebrows at Sarah.
"I don't drink, actually, and you're still too young to drink, right?" He nodded his head over the array of drinks that lay in shelves behind the table. "They look like they have nice juices though." He made sure to keep his wallet handy; he would rather make someone run his over with his own bike that have Sarah pay.

"Now that we are in a Romanian restaurant you should also try a traditional Romanian drink." Sarah said once they had taken a seat.
"Ah you are talking about Socată, no?" The bartender asked, speaking with a heavy accent as if he only recently lives here. "Is good for you, yes."
Sarah nodded.
"It's a cold drink... very refreshing on hot days." She explained to Mello. "It's made from elderflower, lemon, honey and water... but how they make it I do not know."
The bartender smiled.
"You know your drinks... like any good Romanian should." He said smiling as he placed two icecold drinks in front of them.

Mello shrugged and reached out for the drink; it had an interesting colour, and it smelled very nice, and Sarah recommended it, so heck yes. He halted himself from taking a sip, extended his glass out towards Sarah as he helped her get hers, raising an eyebrow with a smile. "How 'bout we toast this to us." And with that, he lightly clinked their glasses together.
God, that smile on her face...just made him want to melt.

Sarah smiled as she enjoyed her drink... if it wasn't for the usual noise that belonged in a restaurant she could almost imagine sitting on the steps of her mother's wooden caravan on a hot summer day. The fact that some of the waiters were chatting in Romanian to each other only increased this feeling.
She placed her hand on Mello's leg.
"I already love this place..." She said. "...and I haven't even tried the food yet. Really, thank you so much for taking me here."

Mello really wished that the glass wouldn't grow empty so quickly; he frowned lightly, but sighed. And then he leaned against the counter and raised an eyebrow at Sarah. "There really is no need to thank me. I mean, aren't boyfriends supposed to make their girlfriends happy? I swear, how can other be so fucking heartless? Do they even know what the fuck love is?" He immediately slapped his mouth when that four letter words left his lips, clearing his throat almost immediately and thanking God when someone had come to escort them to their table. "W-What I mean is, you deserve happiness. So no more 'thank you's'. Smile, and it'll be enough."

"I can't help it..." Sarah said, though she laughed softly. "...I was raised with please's and thank you's."
She allowed the waiter to help her take a seat and she had to bite her lip not to start laughing because Mello started grumbling because he wasn't able to help her. But she had the idea that the waiter did it on purpose.
When the same waiter wanted to give her the menu she declined politely.
"I can't read it anyway... I'm blind." She explained.
By now she was used to having to explain this to strangers and it did not make her so nervous it would when she was younger.
When both of them had ordered their drinks the waiter walked away to give them some time to decide what to eat.
"You'll have to help me pick out my food... if it says 'Vegetariană' I will eat it." Sarah explained. "...it means that it is a vegetarian dish."

Mello couldn't help but smile. "Heh. Wish I could be like that. Guess I always had this crappy language of mine though." Even he admitted that his use of swear words was just way too natural. He wanted to be a good role model for Sarah; her politeness was friggin' cute, and he'd kill himself if he negatively influenced her.
Mello glared at the waiter. "Don't you guys have some kind of brail menu or something--?!" He immediately lowered his voice, knowing he shouldn't spit out what his stubborn nature urged him to do. "I-I mean, thank you." He looked over at Sarah. He was gonna learn from her. Upon her request, he nodded. "I'll get the same thing then too; nothing wrong with vegetables, right?" He just didn't want to mess up. So he pointed at one dish, choosing to simply show the waiter rather than attempt to pronounce it, and the waiter nodded and walked away.
Mello leaned over the table. "So why don't you like meat? Was it just something you were born not to like?"

"I was not born with it... when I was younger I had this bunny as a pet... then one day it was just gone. Even though I could not see, I tried looking for it all day... looking at places where it would normally hide."
She shook her head at the thought.
"It was dinner time when I found her... she had ended up in the stew. Since that day I refused to eat meat."

Mello's mouth hung open in slight surprise; he felt extremely bad all of a sudden for asking that. He cleared his throat and scratched his cheek. "Gee...Um, sorry. For making you recall that. I really didn't mean it." He mentally slapped himself. "Hey, if you're in to pets and everything, we could always get one. As friggin' full the house is, a pet's a good addition. I'm not a cat person though... Those damn animals either lay around or shed friggin' hair everywhere." He could only imagine how frustrated Aika would get; she liked keeping the house clean.
When he noticed Sarah's free hand on the table, he reached out for it. He blushed. "S-Sorry; I couldn't help it."

((OHMYGOSH, THAT WAS IN ONE OF THE SONGS? About a bunny ending up as stew?! xD POOR BUNNY~!))

She lightly caressed his hand with her thumb.
"A pet would be nice... but the others should agree with it too."

Mello smiled. "They'll obviously agree to someone with a cute face like yours." He was trying way too hard to be charming. He recalled Matt telling him something about how girls appreciated compliments, but not the ones that went to the extreme.
Their order had come in pretty quickly, and the waiter smiled at the sight of their hands. He tried his best to speak in English. "Husband, wife, yes?"

"I-I'm not sure the others will be convince by that. I don't think they look at me the same way as you do..." She said smiling.

Mello smirked. "You're just being modest, y'know that?" He looked down at her hand warmly. "There's a lot of other words I have that I could descibe you with, of course; cute is just one of many. You're that amazing."
Mello lightly growled at the waiter's question, exploding into a heap of reds as he held up Sarah's left hand. "Do you see a ring? It's not there ~~yet~~! She's my girlfriend..." He grumbled. "B-Besides, are you gonna give us our food or not?"
The waiter could only laugh at his outburst as he put the plates in front of them. "Enjoy~"

"poftă bună!" Sarah said smiling. "...it means... uhm... enjoy your meal."
She took a bite from the food.
"Hmm <3 ...it's been so long ago I tasted this. You made a good choice, Mello. If I am not mistaken this is... Ardei umpluti cu orez, right? In English it's 'sweet peppers stuffed with rice' ...I'm sure you will like it too"
It was always somewhat of a challenge to find the food on her plate and that was often the reason she was a slower eater.
She took another bite.
"Friganele de mamaliga..." It was fun to tell these things to Mello because he seemed to be interested in her native language... as he tried to pronounce the words for himself. "In English you would call this... uhm... what was it again... uhh... Oh, Fried Polenta."

Mello never knew he'd be able to move his lips a certain way, finding it a little amusing as he attempted to copy what she said. Though, hers was obviously much smoother; he scratched the back of his head and lightly chuckled in embarrassment. "I'm gonna get my ass kicked soon for completely butchering your language..." He mumbled. "When English is your first and only language, it's a little hard." He popped another spoonful of his meal into his mouth. His eyes closed in a state of ecstasy; this food was awesome. ~~He wondered how amazing it would be like to eat this everyday when they got married.~~
"Frig'....this is amazing." Maybe it just tasted better because Sarah was around. His eyes lifted up to gaze at the beauty before him, jaw slowing down as the chewed everything and gazed at her. She really was beautiful.
"Hngh--" He's been so busy gaping that he began choking on his food.

"Ahh Mello... are you okay?" Sarah asked worriedly as she could hear he was practically choking on his food. "Uhh... anyone??"
Suddenly a big man stood behind Mello, though Sarah could not see that of course, and slapped Mello quite hard between the shoulder blades until he spit the food out.
"Hohoho... Ma bucur ca iti place hrana noastră atât de mult!! Dar e rau business dacă mor in restaurant." The man said in a low voice that suited his 6.5 feet height.

((Glad to see you like our food so much!! But it is bad business if you die in my restaurant.))

Mello coughed a couple of times, taking a moment to catch his breath before it was taken once again at the sight of this very...very tall male. Even he admitted that he was a little scared. With a nervous smile, he nodded over to the male before straightening his posture. "Um, sorry..." He mumbled, hoping that he knew a little bit of English.
All of a sudden, people started cheering loudly as fairly loud and upbeat music. At the sight of the smile that pasted upon Sarah's lips, Mello gathered up all the courage to attempt the next step. Fey's words were very clear.
"The minute you see that pretty smile of hers at the sound of music, she wants to dance~! So ask her right away, or she'll think you're resisting."
And so he did. "Hey Sarah's, wanna---"
But, the taller male beat him to it, grabbing Sarah's hand lightly and bowing lightly. "Să dans, doamnă drăguță."
